Not a Good Place to Live

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
This is my first year as a tenant in Lynnewood Gardens. Fortunately it will be my last. The first reason in deciding not to renew my lease is the rent. For a one bedroom apartment (with no dining room) it costs $700 a month. The apartment is VERY small and you will find that for the most part neighbors are not friendly. The "parking lot" is a joke and I found it to be absurd that I paid a "parking fee" but when someone hit my parked car (while in the parking lot) Lynnewood Gardens management didn't do anything (not even fill out an incident report).
I have found the grounds to be kept up in the warmer months but not al all in the ice and snow. I have personally had 2 slip and fall occurances on the property (ironically trying to get to my car in the "safe parking lot").
The swimming pools are nice but you will find the membership fees more than you care to pay.
Because the apartment is surrounded by many others...there are mice.
Storage is a problem...I refuse to pay for a garage that isn't even near my apartment for storage.
When I first moved here it was ok and I actually referred someone else to move in...now I feel bad that I have brought in another unhappy tenant.
P.S-Make sure that your renters insurance is always current...Lynnewood Gardens will tell you that a falling ceiling (from the above apartment being filled with water) is your responsibility to fix.
