Parking: I never have a problem with parking but if I or someone I live with gets home after 10 pm, parking can be a hassle. There are parking lots reserved for the leasers only. When I have company, they have to find a place to park on the street. They can park as far as 1 block away.

Noise level: Since we moved in, there has been absolutely no noise on our block. I see kids around a lot in the afternoon when I'm home but that's about it. We live in a townhome so we don't have upstairs or downstairs neighbors. However, I have heard from other people in Lynnewood Gardens that sound does carry.

Grounds: The landscaping is kept neat. There aren't any flowers or anything special but tenants are allowed to plant flowers if they so choose (we asked). The maintenance people are really nice. They always pause to say hello. That's really nice to me.

Safety: Before moving into Lynnewood Gardens, I heard that they had a bad reputation for muggings, etc. and that the police were always there. I haven't seen or heard of any incidents since we've moved in but I do see the Cheltanham police driving around the apartments often. The streets are lit but the parking lots are not lit as well as they could be.

Maintenance Service Quality: We've only called maintenance 1 time for a minor problem that was easily fixed. We've had no experiences with them for any major repairs.

Office Staff: The office staff is always nice and they seem to be very knowledgable. I've called several times since moving in and they were always able to lead me in the right direction. We've had no problems there.

Overall: We like our townhome so far. It seems to be newly renovated and our electric bill (gas heat is included in rent) is about $30-$50/mo. There is no central air but our townhome came with an air conditioner in the livingroom. The apartments get really hot in the winter but I'd rather be too hot than too cold on a winter day. Our neighbors are quiet and really nice and I feel safe in my home. We moved from about 40 miles away and really like being close to the city (Philadelphia is across the street) but not in the city. The Willow Grove Mall, Target, Wal-mart, grocery stores, parks, restaurants, gyms, etc. are all very close and easy to get to. That was important to us since we weren't familiar with the area.
