I HAVE RESIDED AT THIS COMPLEX FOR NEARLY 10 YEARS. IT HAS DEFINETLY GONE DOWN HILL SINCE 1998. WHEN I FIRST MOVED IN IT WASN'T TOO BAD UNTIL I FOUND ASTRANGE MAN HIDING IN MY CLOSET..YES, THAT'S RIGHT A MAN IN MY CLOSET. THE COPS WERE ABLE TO PICK THIS GUY UP, ME AND THE LAND MANAGER, AND A "MAITENANCE" MAN WERE AT THE COURT HEARING, AND NEEDLESS TO SAY, THIS STRANGER IN MY CLOSET GOT 6 MONTHS PROBATION FOR LOITERING...
AFTER THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I MOVED ACROSS THE HALL TO ANOTHER APT. THEY CHARGED ME ANOTHER SECURITY DEPOSIT TO MOVE ACROSS THE HALL FROM 3B TO 1B. NEVER DID GET MY ORIGINAL SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK. HERE I AM 10 LATER, NO SECURITY LIGHTS IN THE HALLWAY,THE LAUNDRY ROOM IS A DISGRACE, THEY DON'T CLEAN THE LAUNDRY FACILITY. IT'S MOLDY AND IT STINKS. MY MAINTENANCE PROBLEMS GO UNATTENDED, RENT WAS RAISED 50.00 LAST YEAR, SADLY TO SAY I DOUBT I WILL BE SIGNING ANOTHER LEASE.
DURING THE 1980'S AND 1990'S IF YOU LIVED IN GRANADA YOU WERE CONSIDERED "UPPER CLASS".
THEY ADVERTISE "LUXURY LIVING AT AFFORDABLE PRICE". THAT IS VERY UNTRUE.
MAYBE FOR THE "DRUG DEALERS" AND THE "LOW LIFE'S".

I, too, am a former resident of Granada Apartments. Though I never found anyone hiding in my closet, I did have a similar situation just a few months earlier than this post. In April of 2007, I went to class and returned home to an apartment that I had locked when I left and was locked upon my return to discover that someone had come into my apartment and laid out lingerie neatly on my bed in my absence. Fortunately, whoever had done this had departed before my return (even though I had only been gone just over an hour), but nonetheless, I called the police. Since I could not directly pinpoint a person, my case never went to trial, and I broke my lease and left as fast as I could go... And with no forwarding address. However, I am very sorry to hear that I was not the only one. I hope there haven't been too many others. Maybe we will be lucky and they will bulldoze all the buildings to the ground, and the sooner, the better.
