I have rented a few other apartments before this one but when we got a puppy we were desperate to find a place that would allow dogs b/c where we were staying had a strict no pet policy. We moved into one of their apts, which was the biggest mistake we could have made. I'm sorry, that's an understatement!!!

We took the place "as-is", literally a few days after the previous renter moved out. It was the most disgusting site I had ever seen!! It was so bad we had gloves on and had to clean literally every inch of the place including the walls & ceilings. We had talked to other people, who had had become friends with, and they did NOT take their places as is & their apartments were just as disgusting. Before long we learned how much of a mistake we had made.

First, the water tank is shared with all the other 21 apartments! No matter what time of the day you shower or do dishes it will go from extremely hot to ocean cold within seconds!! The driveway to pull in is NOT plowed well at all and b/c of that it has caused gauges in the driveway!! I'm talking that these "potholes" are many feet wide. And when it snows, good luck if you don't have 4WD b/c the plow NEVER comes and many have gotten stuck pulling into the driveway and trying to leave the parking lot. These are just the good things about this place.

We had rented this place from Nov 2008- July 2009 but were able to find people to sublet mid-May. We had paid 6 months in advance and thought that Bruce (who is the BIGGEST con artist) had forgotten about the pet fee which is $300. $100 of that is supposedly non-refundable. When we met our neighbors they all had told us that Bruce had forgotten about this fee and had told us that he used the same lines on them, which usually involves something about his daughter.

There is no privacy within this building- you can hear your downstairs neighbors, next door neighbors, and even across the hall from your apartment even when they are talking at a normal voice.
The place is so old and NOTHING is kept up!!! That is also an understatement!!! This place is falling apartment rapidly and I am constantly being amazed at what is not done here!!

I have had mail stolen from this place as anyone can open your mailbox. The mailboxes are very small and you are barely able to fit ONE birthday/xmas/easter/etc card in it.

There is 24/7 maintence. We called one time & he came with a buddy stoned out of their minds. We were happy they were gone quickly.
The people that work in the office, which is not onsite, are very unprofessional. They have hung up on my fiance as well as our friends living downstairs. They will ignore your phone calls and they NEVER, NEVER, EVER call you back.

We had paid 6 mos rent in advance and no dog fee, now they are telling us we paid 5 mos and part of the 6th month & the dog fee, and that we will be charged a late fee. The lady on the phone began raising her voice at us because she didn't understand that we had paid the 6 mos but no dog fee. We had received our future renters bill here & called to let them know to send it to them as we wouldn't be seeing them, and not only that, they had billed our future renters for the wrong month!! The month of April even though they weren't moving in until May!

There is always one thing after another here! There's a lady in the building that has a black dog and the dog is always scratching at her door and it always reeks in front of her apartment when you walk by.

Under the kitchen sink there is usually a ton of mold. Our neighbors downstairs have it so bad that you can always smell it in the apartment and has even ruined one of her purses that was hanging from a doorknob for months.

Some of the apartments do not have a door on their shower- we know of 2 in this building.

We will be moving out mid-May so look for the continuation of this posting & we will let you know how much of the security deposit they keep. I wouldn't doubt it if they just kept it all.

I WOULD NEVER rent from this place again and do not ever recommend this place. I'm surprised this place has not been condemned yet.

Kinda sad. Bruce must be letting everything go these days. Con-man is a good way of describing him. It is unfortunate for Joe Palermo, he is a decent man and can only fix what he is aware of. It seems to me that he is NOT getting the messages or at least the WHOLE story. I wish the best for you and I wish all the best for Joe. This is tragic and I hope that someone will finally see Bruce for the con-man he is. Organization is key here.
