I have been here since they were built in 1990. We have had management and maintenance staff changes, some good some not. Overall this is a great place to live. This is a rental, not a senior citizen home, not assisted living. You must be able to take care of yourself and not expect the management or maintenance men to do it for you. If you have never lived in a rental/apt then maybe that is the reason for all these negative comments. I have always rented and when I moved out here in 1990 this was the nicest place around. Yes there are newer and other places that have been built since and as a consumer you should shop around. Apartments and those who manage them are like any other business they are looking to make money. I fix small things on my own and have never had the maintenance people turn me away when other things needed to be fixed. This is not a condo with a condo board; things must be put into priority. As far as the trash and recyclable area, yes they are high and when I see older tenants not able to reach or open I do it for them gladly!!! I often go down there and help clean up on my own and take pride in where I live and not expect 2 full time men and 2 part time kids (summer only) to do everything for me. As far as all these negative comments on other cultures, if you don't like it move someplace in the south where it is still all white and they burn people out of their homes. There are laws as to how many people can occupy a 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom apartments. If you feel there are 6 people living in a one bedroom go and ask the management what the rules are and follow common sense rules and stop posting all these negative comments on this website. I am not an employee of Hankin. I am a semi retired person of 49 and have always enjoyed living here. If you want more and expect more then move into a condo where all the rules are written down for you.
