I used to love this place, unfortunately this is no longer the case. There were major changes within Hankin that saw many people lose thir jobs including the former manager Nancy and part timer Pat. These 2 ladies and also the manager before them, another Pat were wonderful, respectful, courteous a true pleasure to deal with. Never had any problems or issues. What was Hankin thinking when they replaced them with Ann and another older woman''' These woman are not friendly, lack customer service skills, and really are running this place into the ground. Don't call them for anything because they will talk down to you. Lawn hasn't been mowed for over 2 weeks-weeds everywhere-this place used to be so beautifully manicured-I guess the next thing is they will expect us to start mowing our own grass!!. Maintenance is good but they are stretched very thin as they are now working between several of Hankins properties. Doesn't Hankin see any correlation between all these changes and the number of the apartments that are now open-there never used to be vacancies! Get better people in charge here and bring Chaddwell back to what it used to be. I have talked to many of my neighbors-they ALL agree.

You didn't talk to me. I live there and I disagree. While I did notice the grass higher then usual of late (and admittedly we had an unusual amount of rain a couple of weeks ago and alot of sunshine following so I'd suspect some of it is growing faster then usual), I've not noticed any bad changes since new management arrived (and I was expecting the worst as well). First thing the new management did is return an extra month's rent to me that the two previous office ladies required when I moved in. This was a full month's rent, I had been completely unexpecting it, so I was happy. When my lease renewed my rent only went up $25 which is alot less then any place I've previously lived usual yearly hike and that was back when the economy wasn't in shambles. They replaced the large, trash compactor in record time with a brand new one (I have friends at Millview in Coatesville that had a slab of cement where a compactor was to go for well over a year while garbage overflowed from the bins into the parking lot), and my area of the complex is still very quiet day or night (and I have the windows open on both sides often this time of the year). I've never seen any skateboarding kids around where I live but arguably I'd guess that problem, and many others, are relegated to the double-room units areas where you have families living in them and kids who's single mother works during the day. I guess I'm glad I'm in a single bedroom section. I'm not sure what people are thinking but just about any business/etc is making cuts these days, I'd very much doubt Chaddwell/Hankin are the only ones who's service may be less then what it used to be or slacking in some areas now. Get used to it for awhile. With people losing their McMansions and other crappy houses they were suckered into mortgaging, you got lots of people and families moving into apartments now so places can afford to slack as people need them. This is America, it's the way of the country (screw the working class). I'm a fairly big complainer in general but I honestly don't see Chaddwell any worse then what it was when I moved in a year and a half ago.

They're mowing the grass right now - you want them on Sunday? I think you're being unfair and critical and obviously haven't lived in other places nearby. Whiteland West was my last home, and it's a dump! I'm very happy here, and so are my cats.

Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinions. Respectfully I don't think you have lived here long enough to see the difference. I'm glad you are happy where you are but I guess I was spoiled by what Chaddwell used to offer.

I agree with both sides on this one. I have lived here for about 5 years now and really miss having Nancy and Pat in the office. It doesn't feel like home as much now for some reason. We always got a welcoming reaction if we called or went into the office before. Now I feel like I'm bothering her if I call. You can feel that she doesn't want to deal with people. She may be efficient in her paperwork but she lacks people skills which in my opinion is a big part of this job, especially at this development. The older lady that works part time is very nice though. There are now screaming children that are outside A LOT and they are skateboarding around and I live in a 1 bedroom but they are near us I guess. There is a park across the street for them to play at but they don't use it I guess. It was nice and quiet around here before but kids have a right to play outside! I haven't needed any repairs since the changes but I have neighbours that did and they said it took a long time to get things done which was NEVER the case here. As far as the rent increase goes...I see absolutely no justification for it other than there being lots of empty apartments that I guess Hankin wants those of us remaining to make up for. They raise the rent every year and there is no justifying it seeing as we are not getting anything extra done and they haven't exactly done any upgrades here other than the trash compactor. We are not so sure if we will be renewing our lease this year because of all of this. I'm sure that other places are worse but that doesn't make it all "OK!" Bring Nancy and Pat back!!

I have had several issues with Ann. I understand that she is trying to do her job and enforce certain regulations and get things into proper order but both my husband and myself have encountered several very unpleasant experience with her and thus we are canceling our lease and moving out early. Our family has rented from this property for a number of years and never until now have we had issues. Very unfortunate.
