Apartment living at it's best, if a little higher in price.

For the Exton area, the prices of Exton Crossing are not that bad really. I have toured almost ALL apartment complexes in the wider area (15 miles radius) and have found nothing comparable.
First of all the apartments are in good shape, and kept in good shape when people move out. We moved into a 2 year old bldg where pigs lived. They replaced carpets, stove, counter tops, microwave. They painted everything NICELY. Not hush-hush and no rush jobs. We moved in and everything worked and looked great.
We had a few smaller problems and one bigger problem with the patio door; it'd get stuck all the time. They REPLACED the whole door, replaced the tracks, everything, without any hassles! Find a place that does that... not easy.
Every other small problem, they fix within a day or two. They even replace the bulbs in fixtures they provide, for free.
Heat/AC units are very modern and efficient. Stoves are electric, but decent. You can use a gas BBQ, even on 2nd floors, which is very nice. We rent washer/dryer from them for a total of $25/month, those are nice full-size units that fit into a closet in the kitchen.
Kitchens are large, bright, have heaps of storage space.
The office staff is extremely pleasant to deal with, before AND after you move in. Friendly, forthcoming, pro-active. Very nice people I can't compliment enough.
The workout area is actually nice and usable, which is rare. The pool is included, very well maintained, beautiful! Many other places will charge extra for that.
They throw parties a couple of times a year and they are awesome. Great foods and open bar.. certainly not the criteria for chosing an apartment, but nice touches that show you they care about their residents.
About robberies that have happened: yes they have, and they have stopped. They caught the guys who robbed many developments, not just Exton Crossing, and it's been very quiet since as far as I can tell.
I feel 100% safe, and I have no concern leaving my wife & kid at home, playing outside. This place is in a nice setting and they keep it up.
I don't know what more you can really ask for... and it doesn't come at a huge premium either if you compare prices around here.
I am a current resident, I will stay a resident until I can buy a house. This place really is awesome, and the best I have seen. This BTW is my 6th apartment, I have had lots of experience.
Also, they really screen people who move in. You see not one broken down car, shady characters, or other "trashy" stuff.
The only bad things:
- Living rooms are a little small for my taste, but you can fit sofa/loveseat/entertainment center no problem even with kids toys etc.
- No month-to-month rent, I think they only do yearly
Overall, two thumbs up. This is as good as it gets.
