I rent a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom second floor apartment with a private entrance... Here are my PROs & CONs for this complex:

PROS:
Great closet space (some storage on balcony, 1 huge closet in spare bedroom, 2 closets in master, linen closet by bathroom, coat closet in living room, huge hall closet)

Bathroom renovated in 2003 (new tile, fixtures, tub, etc)

Huge balcony & grills are allowed (or at least, they don't enforce not having them)

Dishwasher (albeit old, see "CONS")

Quiet (I rarely hear my neighbors) and very family oriented. There are a lot of younger residents too.

Garbage disposal (nothing too impressive, I know, but useful nonetheless)

Management does a fantastic job with snow removal (sidewalks are always clear, parking lots are always plowed)

Laundry facilities onsite (new washers and dryers, prepaid cards not coins)

Pool (Although, it is right next to Rt. 100)

Tennis courts

Basketball courts

Workout facilities (treadmills, exercise bikes etc)

Playground (Also, right next to Rt. 100, not a good location if you ask me. It is fenced in though)

CONS:
Utility bills are INSANLY HIGH! I've lived in apartments for the past several years and this complex has convinced me to go out and buy my own place. No apartment should have utilities higher than $70, I paid as much as $250 this past winter!

The windows and doors need to be replaced. Our windows and doors are so bad-the apartment is practically a breeze way. Don?t let them tell you it is the result of the mail slot! You can call management and ask for a new front door but unless your door is cracked the best you will get is a pathetic weather stripping job. Although, if we had asked management earlier, perhaps we wouldn't have paid as much in utilities. I'd make this my first order of business, if I were to do it over again.

Horribly rude, impolite, disrespectful, wretched, gloomy and miserable management! I don't know if I should dislike them or feel sorry for these ladies. They obviously hate their jobs, and I don't bother with them enough to know if it is personality or utter unhappiness. Avoid them if possible. They are always abrupt, rude and unsympathetic. They won't hesitate to cut you down. Beware.

Crappy dishwasher! It probably should have been replaced 10 years ago. It works, but don?t ever overload. You?ll be standing by the sink washing them over again if you do.

The outside of the apartments are pretty run down, they obviously need some renovating.

Some of the grassy areas are really saturated and swampy. If you have kids, make sure to check out the yard area off the patio/balcony of any apartment you check out.

I don't have many complaints, but the ones I do have I feel are major ones. I?m not sure I'd recommend this complex to anyone. Personally, I moved here because I needed an apartment immediately and the price was right at the time. If this is the case for you, I?d say try Marchwood out. If you have the money and time look elsewhere, do it.
