4.5 Years & Still Loving It

I wrote the review on 5/3/04 also. The only things that have changed are the neighbors, introduction of Verizon FIOS (best services ever!) and the utilities. I guess straight out of college we kept things cheap by keeping the thermostat low 68 in summer, 65 in winter. Now we keep it around 72 in the summer and 78 in the winter and our electric is $120-$170/month with electronics running all day and a fan on when we are home.

Our maintenance has been quick and reliable. When you call they do give you a quick fix response of what you can do immediately but then send out the maintenance guys the next day. I guess people take that as being rude. You can't make everyone happy.

The staff has never given us any trouble and have been nice. Again, you get what you give people.

It is quiet and safe. Parking has its moments, but again, if you want a perfect world, buy a house. Shared laundry, well it's shared laundry. Some people are rude and leave windows open with the lights on attracting bugs or don't pick up their stuff on time, but that's expected with shared services.

Overall the price is cheap for the amount of room you get and the location. We have a front entry location so we probably have less complaints than the multi-level folks.

We love it here. We'll stay here until we buy a house. Other Exton rentals have worst reputations and cost hundreds more.

How on earth did you have an A/C bill of $60 a month? I find that hard to believe...

Easy...with a big fan, tank top, and shorts, you don't get that hot. We kept the thermostat around 68 then. We have the bottom apartment. The bottoms are always cooler in the summer, but then also cooler in the winter by design, so you pay less in the summer, more in the winter. The upstairs neighbors have always agreed and said they pay more in summer to keep it cool and less in the winter to warm it up (since heat rises).

you seriously must have been raised in a barn if you think this place is nice. honestly. didn't college teach you how to read an electric bill? how the hell are you getting 100-120$ bills when i'm getting 300$ bills with my thermostat set at 80-75 in the summer?? discredit this bafoon. FAIL
