This neighborhood is ok, but not the Ritz. I do not know when the rents got so high around here. The buildings look ok but I could hear tenants when I looked a a couple of vacancies. Not too nice either.

I have to totally agree with you. When we first moved in it seemed like a nice place to live. Then things started going downhill. My husband and I are moving. We gave them notice and first they said we owed them for at least 9 more months rent cause we were breaking our lease. This is not true at all. We rented on a 6 month lease and they told us we could extend each month for as long as we needed to stay here. We've been here 9 months now. They told us we signed another years lease with them but they could not produce the lease where we signed. Then they told us they put it on our door. Ever known anyone to stick a lease on your front door? The only thing they ever stuck on our door is advertisements, like for the Halloween trick or treaters, coupons for local vendors, yard sales, and the occasional free "breakfast" they give away. Who wants that? Our apartment was very dirty when we moved in. The carpet needs replacing, but I know they will leave it for the next tennant. The bathtub is horrible. It has discolored spots all in it and on the outside. It had some kind of mat inside the tub that left marks. We noted all this to them when we moved in but of course they cannot find the paper we filled out with all the problems on the apt. and now they want to have us pay for it. There is no way we will. The yard people cut grass all hours of the day and night. The apartment is a one bedroom that we pay an arm and a leg for. Way too costly. The parking is adequate at times if you can get in front of your own apt that is. The maintenance men will walk in on you without knocking. For instance, they came around to replace filters and just walked right on in. Everyone seems to have a key to your apartment. From the office personnell, maintenance, and cleaning people. So if you have valuables with you do not leave them in the apartment unattended. And the neighbors are not friendly at all. They are so very noisy. You can hear everything going on. Unless you are in to easedropping on your neighbors, it's not a good thing. Our upstairs neibhbor does not know how to shut a door without slamming it, walk softly, or talk quietly. So if you want to retire early, make sure your neighbors are already in bed before you go to bed.

I am not surprised to hear about the lies and behavior of the staff, we had a similar experience and I am furious and financially damaged.
