Spacious, good location

We chose to move to Westgate Village at the last minute, as many apartments we checked out were filling up. Fortunately, we have had a very positive experience.

Our two-bedroom is the biggest place we have ever had, more than enough space! Two bedroom apartments on the second floor have an extra nook off the kitchen which you could use for a small office or breakfast table. The carpet was brand new when we moved in. We have a nice large patio looking out on a small wooded area.

We are usually able to find parking close to our door. It is extremely quiet - we almost NEVER hear noise from our neighbors. Also the water temperature and pressure in the shower is good.

One of the biggest pluses to our neighborhood is the excellent eating establishments. If you enjoy unique foods like Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, you will enjoy being here! Being a vegetarian couple we have found many places to shop and to eat. Also there are unique shopping areas.

Here are some of the drawbacks of our location. They mostly involve utilities. We were not able to use a satellite dish instead of cable, because of strict rules about placement. Our telephone wiring is poor and we have only one reliable jack. Also in this location it is impossible to get DSL service - we have tried and tried to find a provider. Cable is by Adelphia who as of now do not provide cable modem or digital cable. All of these things are discouraging to us as we both work on the web.

When we moved in 6 months ago we were told our linoleum floors, which were scratched, would be replaced. That has not happened yet, but I understand as it will be a pain.

The only other drawback for some is that absolutely no dogs are allowed here, and a max of 2 cats.

Despite the technical drawbacks, I enjoy living at Westgate Village. It's quiet, there are lovely trees and grounds, and the staff is very helpful.
