After only one year at this apartment complex my rent was raised $100.00 a month. Not many people can afford to stay here for any length of time. That being said, there is a high turn over rate. I think that is how they make their $$ -- the move in fees. Also, you have to pay for water, sewer and trash collection on top of a very high monthly rent. Be aware that you will pay a lot for heat here, as the apartments are not insulated well, and you will freeze unless you keep the heat high. I moved here even though the rent was high because it looked like a clean well run apartment house. It really is anything but that. For example, there is loads of dog crap all over, large trash is piled up at the dumpster for months -- including dead Christmas trees, and there is an abundance of general trash and cigarette butts that are everywhere you look. I also noticed after I moved in that many of the sidewalks are cracking and rubbed away. The maintenance staff is good and quick, but I only had one sink that needed fixing. The management and staff is another story. They really will sell you on the apartment and push their level of service to the residents, but once you sign that lease, and have anything you need to speak to them about they are impossible to deal with. The phone goes unanswered, and forget about leaving a message -- they'll never call you back. When I went to complain about the trash piling up at the dumpster, they were curt and rude, a complete turn around from the similing face who sold me my lease. You can find loads of the apartments very cheap on Craigslist, as I think they are having trouble getting people to rent here, but beware, your rent will go up very high after your lease ends.
