My experience here doesn't seem to be quite as bad as what others have had. Just remember, you get what you pay for, and this place is about as cheap as you can find a 2 bedroom around here. Lots of families in the area, so if you have kids, they'll have playmates. Really close to Abington schools.

It is loud here. Can hear the neighbors below me even when they are using conversational voices, and when voices are raised, I hear every word. Also can tell when they are smoking, it comes up through the floor and especially around pipes in the kitchen and bathroom.

Plenty of hot water in the shower, even when I hear other showers running. Haven't had any bugs or mice (thank goodness), and been here since August of last year. Radiators made a lot of noise, and smelled a little bad the first few times I used heat in the Fall, but after that, kept the apartment toasty warm. And with heat included, on my student budget I didn't have to keep it at 60.

The maintenance guy is prompt about fixing things, but don't expect to make small talk with him while he's doing it.

The floors aren't flat, the kitchen is outdated, but fridge works, plenty of cabinets and lots of storage space in large closets. I wouldn't recommend planning to do laundry on site as it is dingy and dim. Make sure you ask to see the laundry room on your tour, as they don't want you to see it.

It wasn't ideal for a graduate student, and as a result I'm moving out at the end of my lease, but the price was right, I might have considered staying longer if it weren't for the cigarette smoke.
