Oak summit has been a horrible living experience for me. The manager Dorothy is so mean and nasty to everyone. I would never rent here again and I learned that ARCADIA UNIVERSITY bought the entire complex anyway. Hopefully Dot the manager will have to find another job, she should not be managing an apartment complex, she should be scrubbing floors or working in a kitchen. Sorry to learn that you atre going to be out of a job DOT. It couldnt have happened to a more deserving person than you!

While it's true that the manager is not one to act like everybody's best friend - and can be a bit abrasive if you do something to get on her bad side - it's harsh and overboard to call her a b**ch. The manager is business-like, period. She is employed by this complex's owners to do a job (to represent THEIR interests), and it's obvious that her loyalty is to her employers and their wishes. However, as far as tenants are concerned, she's generally cooperative, and she's also very attentive to any complaints we may have. She also is fairly flexible in her dealings with tenants (at least to those in "good standing"...), and will allow more "stretching" of certain rules than many apartment managers I've dealt with. Obviously, the writer of the above review had a bad experience with her (manager), so I understand the reason for the writer's animosity. However, this review is out of balance and unfair because the writer's viewpoint is not reflective of MOST tenants' experiences with management (at least not mine or most of the others I've talked with).

I'm with iactms. You treat Dorothy with respect, you get respect back. From your other comments we can tell you're obviously not the kind of person who deserves respect whatsoever. And if you cant stand arcadia, get the heck out of Glenside and go live down the street in other complexes where they are not arcadia affiliated. Read those reviews and enjoy the misery.
