I recently just vacated from Rosemore Gardens. We only lived there for 6 months! After the VERY FIRST snow of the season a leak formed in the ceiling of my bedroom. My boyfriend and I repeatedly called the emergency maintenance line [which is a joke] for the next two weeks. The crack spread, and literally GALLONS of water were pouring through my ceiling. We had to set up pots, pans, trashcans, kitty litter boxes, etc all over the floor to catch the water and still it completely soaked through the carpet. the floor got all mildewy and we had to sleep in our second room on a futon.
The landlord [who is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever had the misfortune of coming in contact with] only came to see the leak once, the day after it started. She told us that we were "number 22 on the list of people with leaks" and that we would have to wait it out.
Two weeks after the initial leak the ceiling came in at 6:30 in the morning. It looked like an explosion went off. The hole must have been about 6'8'. Everything in the room was destroyed.
That morning we couldn't get a hold of anyone. No maintenance, no landlord, nothing. We had to call 911 and have two police and the Code Enforcer come out. Mold was found in the ceiling, which explains why my boyfriend had to be rushed to the ER and put on a nebulizer one night. It also ends up that the old tenants moved out because that same ceiling had come down. Which explains why it started cracking on a PERFECT RECTANGLE. The maintanance guys hadn't put the sheetrock up with sheetrock screws. They just nailed it up.
It took them nearly two weeks to even come in and start working on the ceiling after it came down. We couldn't even open the back room. For a period of almost a week, there was no ceiling AND no roof, just beams. The whole apartment was freezing.
After over a month of dealing with this, we got legal advice and vacated the apartment, deeming it "unsafe and unhabitable." Rosemore has YET to get in contact with our lawyer to repay us for damages. So now we have to take them to court.
Besides all that, the grounds are horribly maintained, the laundry facilities SUCK [one washer/dryer for each building''], the units are hell, the office is a damn nightmare, and because they are cheap and fired half of the staff, you have to drag your trash a quarter mile away to the dumpster. I must add, the maintenance guys are all very nice, though.
P.S. they're putting a 123ft cell phone tower on the grounds and we got notice that it will soon turn into Section 8 housing. RUN! STAY AWAY FROM ROSEMORE GARDEN APTS! The rent may be cheap, but you will pay out the ass if anything goes wrong. AND IT WILL.

First off G-9, The manager did her best on fixing things here at Rosemore. The one person that has a fault to this all is Kurt. So Megan Resnick the Manager had no control of this at all. Oh plus Section 8 will not be living at Rosemore Garden Apartments so get your story straight -----.
