Okay I am going to give you my personal observation of this place. I want all to know that I am a very open minded person, what I am saying I do not take things to heart but as I continue my reveiw I hope that you take this review and dwell on the things I am about to put out there.
Well I moved in last year in 2003 into a 3 bedroom townhomes and was delighted and first because I was paying 745.00 and though wow what a deal. When I went to sign the lease I meet with the secretary who is now the property manager :-/ !!! - At any rate she said that I could call and hook up all my utilities and that they would do the gas. I was like o that is so nice. after being there for a month all my bills had came in my electric which was PP&L, my cable which was Comcast and my phone which was Verizon. Well I had not received my gas bill so I called UGI and I asked why my bill had not arrived. Hmmmm this is when I discovered that they had no account for me. So a couple days later I received a bill from a company of 180 dollars for gas. It had no meter reading on it all it had was usage a number and that was it. So I called and asked who this people where and they said they where a submetering company and that any questions I had I would have to take up with the property manager b/c they work for them and all they do it collect the money etc. etc. well the only thing that I got correct was that you pay a base charge for occupants but it does not say this on the statement. Well I called the property man. and she did not want to give me the meter readings aswell. They say they have radio frequency powered meter readers on the gas outside and that the base charge covers your hot water and cooking. Well I received a 60 gas bill in August and to my surprise so did the rest of my neighbors some only having 2 people in the townhomes to six people in the townhome. Now I am upset b/c six people are going to spend for than two people would. Basically they are splitting the cost of the gas.. I called UGI the gas company and they said that they come out and do one meter reading for the hole complex then they send them a bill what they do with it they do not know but they receive their payment every month. Then I called this submetering company "Master Tek" they told me that they receive a bill from Beaufort manor and then they break the UGI bill down and that is how they come up with our base charge and that the radio frequency meter comes up with the usage. Bull crap, I went out and purchased me other ways of heating my home and do not turn the heat on and i can't cook and I am always out until I come home and wash my tail. Here I have been paying 50 dollars every month and some might say wow that is not bad but yeah I do not turn my heat on at all and my bill is still unreasonable for my usage 50 dollars is my base charge for the occupants living there so I can imagine if I used my heat I would be broke for 4 people I pay 50 dollars (are you following me).... submetering is not a common thing in Pennsylvania and the property manager did not have the courtesy to atleast sit down and explain it to us and even after several attempts she was not willing to follow through. Okay enough of this . All I have to say is even if you are out of town for a month you will have tooooooooooo pay and it will not be cheap.o' yea one more thing some of the tenants are still on the old plan and they do not have to pay for gas so hmmm i wonder if they do not pay for gas who pays for their gas bill I think us b/c the apartment complex do not feel the need to release information pertaining to ones bill but yet expect you to pay up to that end lets move to the next thing.
The property manager and her secretary. Two dummies. 1st of all i do not have anything against them but i really hate dummies people who are very ignorant in every which way of the word. The secretary although she has been there for a couple of month you ask her a question and it is like talking to a terd on a log. I dunno is the most you will get out of her and the property manager is never there and when she is if you go into the office she looks at you like whaaaaaaaaaaaat do you want. The property manager is arrogant, snobby (don't know why)and also a dummies. I hate that I have to put it to you like this but I need to make you understand that your complaints, questions will not be answered nor will you be helped by the secretary nor the property manager the secretary is to mindless and the property manager is beside herself and lasy that is is crazy. If you have a problem the property managers says call the cops why cant you deal with the problem if it is taking place in your complex and it is within your realm to solve the problem
okay moving on ....
The apartments just got new windows and they are really drafty even after the change. plain and simple -
Parking -- O'Lord don't go out or you will be fist fighting your way into jail it is also plain and simple and the complex do not want to assign decals out to the tenants so everybody and their family members come and park in the complex.
Shower - You better hope your next door neighbor is not taking a shower b/c you are out of luck that cold water is going to feel like icicles
Walls- extremely thing you can hear and be disturbed by your neighbors.
upkeep - They need to do something with the outside of the building and the lawn .. not nice at all.
Pool - Small and it is dirty. Life card RUDE
Maintenance people - No class at all .. hell it looks like they went and hired the worst of the worst.
To this end I need not say anymore but simply that this is my opinion and you may take it into consideration and you may not but at any rate I have lived in for different place and I have never seen the lack of respect between tenants and the property staff and how shallow and ignorant they can be nor have i ever seen people being dishonest about something especially about the gas. all in all I pay 1, 165 in bills including all utilies and rent that is not a deal b/c your GAS is to high and then your electric is also high.
I am scheduled to move in June... And I was here for 12 month and they have been the longest 12 months.. Although I have not been hurt etc. etc. I feel that I should be happy and content where I am living at not lied to or have to deal with staff who really don't give a crap about you. Had it not been for some of these things on my list like the STAFF and the GASS and the RENT I might have stayed but those three combinations I am loosing out.

I am on ur side.I am here for the past 3 years.I hate this place.We got $50 gas bill for september from Master tek. Staying here is like staying in a public place.Once when I was in shower, maintance guy came inside my apartment and I hope he was working.No privancy at all.No proper response from property manager or any one in the office. |
