My lease runs up at the end of this month. As much as I'd like to agree w/most of you that this was a slum and a horrible place to live - I can't. Here's a message to all the angry people... "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR."

I lived here because I could get a spacious one bedroom apartment for $470 a month. The day I signed my lease I knew it was an older property and there was probably going to be utility issues such as high gas or electric bills and broken fixtures. Generally, my maintenance concerns were addressed within two weeks but at least they were taken care of. The only negative experience I had with the staff was when someone in my building asked to have their AC checked and they carried it out in my apartment instead (while I was gone for the summer - resulting in a ridiculously high AC bill). Besides that - I got exactly what I paid for (and would recommend it to any of my young adult friends).

Furthermore, yes there are kids playing outside at all hours of the night but give me a break it's not the ghetto. There are no murders at the Brook. If you have issues w/seeing children/kids outdoors and unsupervised then go live somewhere where they can't afford to be.. otherwise shuttup and own up to the fact that you probably didn't research this property very much before you lived here.
