Terrible

There are some good things and some bad things about Eagle's Crest that every potential tenant should know about.
The parking situation is great. There are plenty of spots to accomodate guests and visitors; however, if it is snowing, don't expect to have timely snow removal. There was a snowstorm two or three weeks ago and the entire complex had about two inches of snow on all the roads. They had plowed earlier and plowed all the cars in, but did not plow after that.
If you can sleep through noise, you'll be okay. Rarely do you hear any noise coming from I-83 (at least, where I lived), but expect to hear lots of outside noise from kids waiting for the school bus, garbage collection for the dumpsters, and other groundskeeping. They usually come to empty the dumpsters anywhere between 5 and 7 a.m. and it is VERY loud. They were also trimming trees and grinding down the branches at 7 a.m. one morning. A third-party company that was checking fire extinguishers was doing so in the parking lot at 3 a.m. one morning - playing the radio, throwing pallets and empty extinguishers on the ground, and just making a lot of noise.
With that said, you usually don't hear much from your neighbors, at least, not any more than you'd hear in any apartment. Yes, sometimes you hear someone in the common hallway knocking on your neighbor's door, but it's really not that bad.
Bugs are an issue. I hate bugs and there are lots of them. Centipedes, roaches, spiders... It's not infested per se, but if you live there, you'll encounter a bit of them. So if you're squeamish, stay away.
They also hijack some of your TV channels that you pay for on your own cable bill to broadcast messages that are months old, such as the opening of the car wash message from July in the middle of November.
While there is a strict policy against littering in the lease, the staff does nothing about it. Same goes with kids hanging out in the halls and stairwells. There is usually garbage everywhere in the stairwells that kids leave behind.
Another poster left comments about water shut off. This didn't happen to my building at all, although we did have lots of problems with hot water. We went days without hot water at some points. The central air doesn't work either. Our electric bills have been about $160/month and both my roommate and I work from 8am until 7pm.
Over the past two weeks, cracks have been developing in ALL the walls. It looks as though the room can literally fall apart any day.
It's an okay complex for someone just starting out, but don't expect to spend more than a year here.
