good things:
1. the maintenance staff is very good, you will get something fixed the same day you report, even on saturdays.
now, the bad things:
1. windows are crap, probably single layer glass. you will have a hard time paying your heat bills in winter since that is not included in the rent. you can let your heat run 24 hrs, but still have to wear at least a sweater and socks when inside.
2. BEWARE of their leasing policies! their lease document will say you will have monthly renewal after the first year, but they will trick you to sign for another year. if for any reason, you have to early-terminate the lease extension, they will suck out at least 3 months rent from your pocket. moreover, their lease does not have a clause as to what happens when your workplace moves say more than 100 miles from the complex!!so, if you have to leave harrisburg due to job change or any other thing, be prepared to get ripped off.
3. they expect you to not even cook in your apartment!! even if you keep your apartment SUPER-CLEAN, forget about getting your deposit ($99) back; on top of that, they will charge you for extra cleaning, AND FOR REPLACING OF KITCHEN SPLASH GUARD AND RANGE HOOD!! how would you expect to have your range hood clean-as-new from inside after 2 years of living and cooking''
4. There's no point in discussing/talking anything to the people at the rental office, not even the manager. All she would say is - "There is nothing I can do, this is directly from my boss (from Baltimore)."
5. If you are interested in having satellite dish installed, this apartment complex is clearly not for you. They themselves agree that its a dish-unfriendly complex, which is true, since very few apartments have south open. even if you are lucky to be in one of them, your request will be welcomed with at least 25 rules/regulations which would force you to change your mind.
6. the apartment complex has a bug problem. the other reviews about bugs is very true.
7. If you are a hot shower person, dont go here. you would be having a hot shower when all of a sudden you would be drenched with ice-cold water, and then back to hot water again!
8. Finally, remember, if you move in...THE MANAGEMENT'S DECISION IS FINAL. your say is no say...its their way, or highway.
