Since our move into this apartment complex (we call it the move from hell) we have experienced the following:

Two days before we moved in we were finally given permission to actually look at the apartment only to find:

o it was not properly cleaned
o the carpet was stained and worn throughout and should have been replaced (even after a second cleaning the stains and mold are wicking through
o the bathtub looked and still looks like it was picked up at a dump
o the bathroom and kitchen floors were stained and cut
o that in this day and age there was only one cable TV outlet in a two bedroom apartment and we had to pay for additional outlets!
o other than having a fresh coat of paint the apartment was generally in a shambles

If we had not made all our moving arrangements we would not have taken the apartment.

And if that was not bad enough

o Shortly after the garbage disposal broke I fixed it!
o The dishwasher broke and was replaced .now the kitchen counter is falling off the wall (maintenance has known about it for months)
o The oven broke and was repaired only to have us come home to a serious gas leak that required the building to be evacuated and UGI to make an emergency call
o Then we were told the building was infested with roaches and my wife had to take everything out of the cupboards on two different occasions to have it sprayed
o Now we have paint peeling off a wall
o The kitchen faucet has been dripping for over two months

What makes this even worse is that we purchased all new furniture in with the full intention of being long term residents.

As the current Property Manager for East Park Gardens Condominium Association, I would like to state that East Park Gardens is a great place to live. I was hired about seven months ago and have found that most residents enjoy their experience and the community. East Park Gardens is not a typical apartment complex, actually it is not an apartment complex at all, it is a Condominium Association, which simply means that each unit is individually owned. Some owners have chosen to rent out their unit as an apartment, which is the case with the above renter. Please note that the above issues have been addressed and as of today our office is not aware of any additional problems or issues with the building or the unit. Additionally we have onsite maintenance and if residents communicate with the office that there is a maintenance issue they are addressed in a timely manner. Upgrades are also constantly being completed and the owners and management are reasonable with requests. Our office door is always open and we have an answering service for after hour emergencies.
