I've lived here for 4 years. I moved here from Philadelphia for work with the state and am leaving because I need to move for a job in another state. IMO, overall, this building is the best value in town. The decor could maybe use some updating. The paint job in the elevators is kind of weird and the residential floors look very wannabe upscale hotel-like. I have a large studio facing the front of the building with a fantastic view of the Susquehanna River. The balconies are huge and I also have a great view of the City Island and the New Year s fireworks over 2nd Street from it. The balconies were a major plus for me since I like to do a lot of gardening but wasn't ready to commit to buying property in the area to do so. I have a container garden on my balcony that I rather enjoy during the summer. Parking here is a steal for downtown Harrisburg. There is a lot of diversity among the residents which I personally like. The building manager, Annmarie, is very nice. Probably the biggest plus to living here is that the office staff and maintenance are very attentive, reasonable, and nice. Downtown Harrisburg itself has its pluses and minuses. There are minimal shops in this area but if you work for the state you'll likely be within walking distance of your job. Many of Harrisburg's historic and cultural attractions (Capital, John Harris Mansion, Susquehanna Art Museum, Whittaker Center, Shipoke) are blocks away. My only serious criticisms are that the laundry and exercise areas badly need upgrading. The residents are generally quiet but the area around the hospital with the heliport, ambulances, and a nearby fire station can be a bit noisy if you live facing the front.
