Find another place

I lived here for about two years. When I first moved in the manager wasn't very experienced, but she was nice enough. The rent was acceptable. Parking was too expensive and the parking folks were very careless, my car frequently got scratched. After my lease was up, the increase was a bit high for my taste but I wasn't ready to move yet. I decided to go for a 6 month lease, which was even more expensive, but I felt stuck. At the end of this period I tried to decide whether to stay again, and was informed that I could receive a small decrease on the rent if I took a year's lease. Remember, I had already taken a substantial increase for a 6 month lease. By this point a new manager had taken over and I found her to be extremely greedy. One of the parking people became downright dangerous, driving quickly around and almost running people down. I was told he was to be fired, don't know if he was or not. The place wasn't extremely clean when I first moved in. It got more and more filthy as time went on. The elevators were constantly broken. My first night there someone got stuck, no one had a key to get him out, and we had to call the fire department to help him. The area outside isn't really very safe. It is ok to walk across the street by the river at night, but walking down by McClay street is a scary experience. There is supposed to be someone at the "security" desk at all times, but this was rarely the case. It was often hard to find someone if I needed help during non-business hours. The views were gorgeous and the apartments themselves very quiet, but that isn't a good enough reason to live in this badly run, run down, overcharging mess of an apartment building.
