Ive lived at Korman for a year now. Ive had no problems. The few small maintenance issues Ive had were fixed within 1-2 days. Is what people dont realize when reading these reviews are that people are so miserable. One small problem for someone thats had a bad day, can make them write something horrible, and of course when the problem is fixed, do they get back on here and say the problem was fixed. Of course not. The building is an old high rise. The rooms may not be the biggest, but what can you expect for a HIGH RISE. There is only so much room to build. Since it was built in what the 50's, architecture was COMPLETELY different then. At any apartment complex, the staff is never enough. Until you count in ALL the units, thats alot for only a handful of people to take care of. Im sure they do the best that they can.

Ive read through alot of the reviews for alot of the complexes. ONe said that snow plowing was horrible. When you have hundreds of spaces and the complex is full of parked cars, what do you expect. They dont have a car key to every car to move them or plow/shovel under them. What else do you expect them to do. DE-ICE your car for you'!'!' I mean c'mon. Thats your car. You cant expect someone else to take car of your things. People are to dependant on someone else to take care of things for them.

People seem to agree and disagree on the rent here. I think its reasonable. One bill a month to cover everything. What else can you ask for. You get spoiled.

The staff is great. I can talk to the girls about anything. They are so helpful and they know the area really well. Ive met alot of people in the building and not many of them have anything bad to say. SO dont judge any apartment complex just because a few people had ONE bad experience. For all we know it could have been their fault and their angry at themselves but want to take it out on Korman. I love it here. Im a single person living in what i think is a good sized apartment for me. Dont believe everything you hear. Its not always true. Give it a try. ;-)

35% of this 200 UNIT Building is unrented. That is a strong statement of desireability by the public. This comment above was obviously written by the staff in frustration to the negative outlook of tenants both current and former. The point is there are many better, safer, and enjoyable places to live in the area. We are lucky to have this website to help others make good decisions about finding a quality place to live. The building is run down. There are only 40 parking spaces not hundreds as stated in th comment above. They charge at least $125 extra monthly if there is an available parking space in the small garage underneath the building. The staff is second rate at best. The neighborhood is unsafe, which is a problem since most of the available parking is at least 2 blocks away or more. There have been several murders in the area recently. One guy was shot in the face over an iPod 2 blocks from here. We're talking about living in da' hood. I've had more than one thug in the area tell me I shouldn't be walking about the neighborhood because I might get shot. The view of the Susquehanna River will take your breathe away on a clear day, and you may just consider living here for that reason alone. The river is nice to look at, however consider the amount of bugs and spiders live a long the river too. My favorite is the 2 inch House centipede. House centipedes feed on spiders, bedbugs, termites, cockroaches, silverfish, ants and other household pests. They kill their prey by injecting venom through their fangs. The river isn't very pretty when you wake up with these 15 legged nasties crawling on you while you are sleeping, and trust me they are not in short supply even in the winter months. If you are inteligent enough to use a computer and you have found these reviews of the newly dubbed River Plaza then heed the warnings.
