When I came to look at the place, everything was great. The staff was incredibly helpful and just couldn't do enough for me. Once I signed the lease, that was all over. I was under the impression that I would pay for my water, not a big deal. I'm not home most days and I rarely use a lot. Every month my rent increased because of water. When I asked them about it, I was informed that I was paying for the water in my unit. There are 4 apartments in my unit and I have to split the cost of water. I refuse to do my wash here because the washer is small in size and the dryer doesn't dry a very small load of laundry. I once had clothes in the dryer for 2 hours and they still weren't dry. The windows are ridiculous. They don't keep the heat in during the winter months and can't keep it out during the summer months. When I called to see if there was something that could be done about the windows over the winter, I was told to get the plastic to go over the windows. I explained to them that I already had two layers on the windows and the wind still came through. Their response was that they didn't know what else to tell me.
While I can't hear my neighbors downstairs, I can hear everything outside clear as day. Most nights I can't sleep with my windows open because all I hear is traffic.
Forget if you want to try and get out of your lease early. Instead of being like most other places I've rented at, where you just need to pay one month's rent, you need to pay your full balance here. After living here for 2 months, I wanted to move. I keep telling everyone that if I were to win the lottery, the first thing I would do is pay off the balance here so I could move out. I can't wait until my lease is up to get as far away from here as I can.
