Like other tenant reviews we too had problems with this apartment complex/employees/apartment. When intereseted in moving into Lakewood Hills, the office employees were very nice to us, acted like we were great friends, but once we signed our lease they have done nothing to help us when there was a problem, in fact they expect us to overlook the problems.

When we signed our lease they promised us a certain type of kitchen what they called a semi-updated kitchen. The day we went to move in, it was nothing like what we were promised nor what we signed our lease for. We then had to wait three more weeks to move into an apt that our lease was for, and then they told us they had to increase our rent by $20 dollars a month, despite the fact that they told us three weeks prior that they would not do that.

They never had the carpets cleaned after the previous tenant moved out. Alhtough according to our lease this is requirement when we move out, when asked about it, the leasing office said that it did not need it this time. In fact, the apartment was not cleaned at all prior to us moving in, the previous tenants 'move out checklist' was still in the apartment as well as dirt on the carpets that were not even vaccumed.

Our apartment smells of cigarette smoke which comes up from our downstairs neighbors apartment into the cabinets below our kitchen and bathroom sinks. When notified, they tried to fix it however, it still comes into the apartment, our furniture and clothing smell like cigarette smoke all the time and when approached about the continuing problem they told us there was nothing they could do about it.

Our washer water pipe leaked into the apt below ours, and the wall is compeltely rusted and water damaged, they sprayed it with a chemical and said there should be no mold growth but they cannot guarantee that.

When the ac/heater unit runs, it rattles, when maintenace came to look at it, he said there was nothnig he could really do, that we probably need a new unit but that his supervisor doesn't like to buy new units.

Basically they have maintenance fix it to say they fixed it, but not enough to make it function as it should or to the point that it should be fixed. Every maintenance fix, has been done, but not well. In fact they often have to come back for the same problem time after time.

The windows are falling apart, the glass does not stay in the window frames.

The kitchen cabinets are not finished.

The bathtub does not drain, when you shower, you stand in water that covers your feet. They were called to fix it at least 4 times, but it continues to not drain properly and they said they can not do anything more about it.

The property manager never returns phone calls, and is conveniently always out of the office or on vacation when we call the leasing office.

We are staying here until the end of our lease and moving out. This place treats you like you are sub-par and expects you to pay for something they do not provide.
