I have lived at Lakewood Hills Apartments since 1986. I had lived in 3 other apartment complexes previously, and Lakewood Hills has been the best out of all of them. I checked out the reviews here to see what has been written and I wanted to join this other person who has lived there for the past 2 years and has praised them as well.

The maintenance staff is one of the main reasons that I have stayed in this complex. They are fantastic. Great personalities and very respectful. As soon as there is a problem and I call, they come that day to fix it. If they don't come that day, it's because my problem isn't an emergency and it's a time when they are busy with problems that needed immediate attention. They then come the next day.

I don't know who these people dealt with that claim that the staff is very rude. It's definitely not the same staff that work in the leasing office that I go to. I have to wonder what the story is behind these renters. I usually find that they are miserable people and nothing that anyone can do will ever appease them. The leasing staff has been wonderful to me and my 88 yr old mother. They have watched out for me many times. I have lived in 4 different apartments throughout the complex. Only because I moved from a 2 BR and a roommate to a 1BR. THen when my mother moved in with me to another 2BR. However apt. was a little small so they moved me to a larger 2 BR.

We are encouraged to garden and decorate. I have planted many flowers, roses, annuals and vegetables. They have a holiday decorating contests to encourage residents to decorate for the holidays.

Of course nothing is perfect and there are neighbors that I wish would move away. But when I have had problems and have reported it, they have contacted that resident to correct the problem.

As the other person said, the buildings are old and need work. What doesn't break down as it gets older, but the point is that when there is a problem--the maintenance staff works to get it corrected immediately.

I have enjoyed my time at Lakewood Hills and plan to remain here for years to come.
