This is long, I apologize...my roommate found this place, I had never heard of it. But I'm very grateful he found it.

The building was built in the 1920s, and has a great feel to it. The lobby is large and spacious. Your mail is delivered to an indoor mailroom. If you have a small package or magazine, it is put in a larger slot in the mailroom. If you have a large package, the maintenance man brings it to your door for you. My apartment is on the 3rd floor (and there are six floors total), and he has done this often for me.

The maintenance guy(s) are friendly and courteous. If you have a problem, you call the manager or leave a voicemail, and it is fixed usually by the next day. I have lived there for almost two years now, and have watched them maintain the building (repainting parts of the inside and out, for example). They maintain the grass and bushes well, and the landscaping looks nice.

The manager is very nice. She helps you if she can, for instance she let me move my stuff in a few days before my lease started, because the place was empty. She owns the building herself, and so can be very flexible and understanding, unlike the corporate owned places (yeah, I've lived in those too...ug).

The apartments are huge (I have a two bedroom). you get two large (and tall) closets in the hallway. Each bedroom of course has a closet. One bedroom is a bit smaller and sortof weird shaped, but it's not hard to get used to. The living room is huge. The dining room is a good size. The ceilings are very tall in the whole apartment. The kitchen is more of a galley kitchen, but it's not bad. Every room has huge windows that let in lots of light. There are no carpets, so you either deal with tile (tile in the kitchen and bathroom too, no linoleum) or buy carpets. I bought some remnant carpets that were cheap.

In the summer, there is no central air (remember built in the 1920s), so you have to buy fans or an AC unit. Which isn't too bad. In the winter, the large windows let in a lot of cold. But you can always turn the heat up. All utilities are included in your rent, so even though the windows are old and thin, its ok!

Like I said, all utilities are included. So you can use lots of water or heat without paying for it. I like this feature. There is also always enough hot water for everyone

The apartment building overlooks the river, which is beautiful. I have a very nice view out my windows. This area of Harrisburg is safe. Harrisburg does not plow as much as it should, and there is not always enough parking, but that's just Harrisburg. The apartment complex has a parking lot and a few spaces you can pay for. I (and my roommate) pay for a space, and I think it's worth it. I think the manager plows her lot out more often than Harrisburg plows our street when it snows.

The people in the complex are the nicest people I've met in apartments so far. They all greet you and hold doors for you if you need it. Some neighbors are loud sometimes, but that comes with living in an apartment

Overall, a great place for a great deal. I will be moving out at some point, as I want to live closer to where I work. Otherwise, I would stay here for more than the two years I've already been here.
