When we first moved to the Terraces in May 2008 I could not have been happier. That staff seemed nice (aside from the fact that we pretty much told them we wanted a certain apt and 2 days later when we told them we were definite and ready to sign the lease, they had given it away already). Now that we have been here for a few months I am slowly finding more and more things I don't like about this place. I asked them to replace our air filter and they put in a filter that was 20x20x1. Our filters are 20x16x1. Instead of going to get a filter that fit, they just folded the one that was too big and forced the vent shut over it. Luckily my boyfriend noticed some cardboard sticking out and we went and bought a filter that fit. After reading reviews, I'm nervous that everyone is saying we have to tell them 3 months in advance if we're moving. My boyfriend has the type of job where we would not get that big of a notice... maybe a month. I would not want to pay thousands of dollars to break a lease. When we moved i talked to them about that and they were saying that it is very easy to break a lease with them. We constantly get bugs in the house. Most of the window screens have holes in them (especially the sliding door to the patio) and they won't replace it. One of our window screens was actually in backwards and there was a huge gap letting all kinds of stuff in. Luckily we noticed and fixed it ourselves. I've been here 6 months so we'll see how the next few months go... It's sad because I love the location of the apartment and the overall appeal of it, but there are slowly more and more things turning me against this place. Oh, and did I forget to mention that there are stray cats EVERYWHERE and all of the fences are lined with poison sumac'
