I would have recommended this apartment in a heartbeat to anyone, but not anymore! I found out personally (and fortunately it was during my last month renting) how horrible the new ownership was. The old landlord sold the property in February 2008, which was unfortunately during my last month there. Do not expect to get the following with the new management (Lisa, the old manager was a sweetheart): courteous service, any refunds, pretty much any service at all when you call in. My last day that I was moving out, they did not even bother to ask me for my forwarding address, and I had to be proactive about that...It sucks when a tenant has to be proactive about providing information because they are worried about any harm caused to their own credit rating, etc!

The apartments themselves were okay, but in my opinion were a little old for the high rent to be justified, but the complete package made the rent valid in my opinion. I was paying $750 with one rent increase over two years, and that included a den, heat (which was big), and W/D in the apartment. There was adequate parking, and it very safe place overall. My particular unit was right on Union Deposit road, and it was pretty noisy (but you get used to it) when combined with my downstairs neighbor that blasted her music every weekend morning. Maintenance was great under the old management, but not sure any more under the new "regime."

Biggest headache was getting service and reception from Comcast. They will not have a problem installing the cable/internet, but when you start having major issues (signal loss, etc), they are extremely unhelpful in their response/service. They sent a technician 4 times but nothing got fixed. I finally found out that they wanted exclusivity in the apartment complex, and would therefore not lay new wire...last time I checked monopolies were illegal! They were using copper wire at least a decade old to transmit an internet signal and HD signal from the junction box to my apt, which was the last one in the unit!!! If I had known this information, I would have gone with either Verizon or Satellite to begin with....gotta love it that they are not up front with you about that (I am only making sure that I point this out because it stinks for anyone else to pay $135 a month for complete crap service, especially during the hot summer months).
