A place in which to get settled and oriented

I have found most of the office staff and maintenance personnel to be helpful and friendly (just one experience with a rude and argumentative office worker- but the Manager was more than responsive and I felt heard and the issue dealt with). I also realize that the balance of major interest in partnership/ownership power has changed, and that has had a tremendous impact on the manner in which rehab of vacated apartments and repairs are done. This has been overall a good experience, however care to lighting maint. and security could be a little more efficient (our entry way lights are burnt out a great deal of the time, and sometimes both bulbs), and all of the apartments desperately need storm windows and the doors repaired/replaced (heating and cooling bills are HIGH and the wind whistles through the windows), and some exterior painting (the numbers are illegible from the street for a number of the apts- a safety issue is 911 is required). No special snow removal or care for elderly or mobility challenged individuals apartments. My rent has increased a couple of times and by $40 in three years. The bottom line- my experiece has overall been a pleasant one, and I plan on living here for a while longer (if they lay off the rent increases) until I either relocate or buy a home.
