Twin Lakes may be one of the cheaper apartment complex's in the area in terms of price per square footage and number of bedrooms but it's really not worth the money spent. The front of our kitchen cabinets fall off from the cabinets themselves on a semi-regular basis. When trying to hang a few shelves we realized that there are virtually no studs in the walls so wall anchors have to be used for anything weighing more than 5-10 pounds... even then they don't hold well because the sheet rock disintigrates when drilled into.

Maintenance responds pretty quickly which is great, but they leave a mess with every visit and greasy hand prints on the walls on more than one occasion. The paint, of course is cheap and can not be wiped off well except in the kitchen. The carpet started coming up after living there for only about a year and a half.

Lastly, management sends out silly, unprofessional letters reminding "some" of the residents to clean up their balconies and to not change the oil in their vehicles in the parking lot. BUT people have wild crazy parties in the club house and in the summer the police have arrived on several occasions. There are no speed bumps allowing traffic to drive at any speed through the place when children are at play. I've had to pull my child out of the way a couple of times this summer while he was learnig to ride his bike because drivers weren't paying attention and were driving entirely too fast. I suppose the answer for us is to move, but we wanted to rest of you to know what to expect if you're considering Twin Lakes. Consider re-considering.
