Some truth in every story

It's true. You can't take a shower without it ending in cold water. When I complained, even though the water heater was inspected, I was advised to buy a new shower head! Like that was going to solve the problem!! So every morning now for as log as i've lived here, whether i shower in the day or night, i can't make it through without being blasted by freezing water.
Also, the noise is unbearable. I can hear every little conversation that my neighbors have...luckily i haven't heard any noise of passion, but i did hear an interesting receipe about a tomato and pepper stew. Our neighbors, who im sure are otherwise nice people, piss me off to no end! only because of the pounding of feet running up and down the stairs and the ever annoying clomping of the 60 pound dog they have upstairs. I can set my watch to the 6:30 morning dog walk, EVERY morning! It's beyond horrible. Sorry neighbors....nothing personal, really!
I haven't had any brown water, yet, but i have had a $250.00 electric bill because even after i'd used a blow dryer to adhere plastic covering to my windows for the winter, the draft was unreal. SO VERY COLD...and EXPENSIVE!!!
I do like, however, that this is a pet friendly community and I do feel that we as tennants should pick up after our own dogs, but...and isn't it obvisouly that this was coming....BUT...the "dog rules" are so strict that i'm almost afraid to take it outside.
And in case you're wondering, I too, was asked to leave positive comments as to not hurt the dog park construction...I'd rather have a pool....

Don't drink the water! And you might want to seriously consider purchasing a water filter for your shower head like I did. After moving here, I started to notice that my hair was getting very dry and my ends split despite monthly hair appointments and the best products. It wasn't until I took a vacation for a week and my hair was fine that I made the connection that it was the water at Village Knoll. I ordered a water filter right after returning from my trip, but showering in the unfiltered Village Knoll water for just a few days damaged my hair once again. After installing my filter, my hair was better.
My point is that if the water is doing that type of damage to hair (and probably your skin, as well), can you imagine what must be in it?

They have city water so it is not likely from the water itself but from the old pipes. When I lived there they had problems all the time with the electric going out until finally they dug up all the electrical wires buried under the ground and replaced them. Probably because pp&l got tired of getting calls for electric outages in the complex and told them they had to replace them. God only knows what the electric inside the buildings is like. Anyone still living there had better make sure they have renters insurance. It is always recommended anywhere you live but if you live here you best get it if you don't already have it.

To the author of this post - first off, what do you expect? When you choose not only apartment living but also a first level apartment this is ALL TO BE EXPECTED! I have always lived on a second floor apartment, I am paying the same amount as you are. How I live my life; taking the dog out, leaving for work, etc. is part of apartment living! Purchase a house if you're unhappy!!!!
