Our 1.5 years there

My husband and I moved to The Village of Laurel Ridge in May of 2008 from the Pittsburgh area. We rented a 2 bedroom updated townhouse. The updates were the kitchen cabinets and appliances. We had the choice to go with an un-updated unit, but liked the look of the updated better.

We have no complaints at all about our experience there. Any maintenance issues that we had (light/fan not working, fridge not working, etc) they came and took care of within 12 hours. They came for the fridge within 1 hour of us calling! Parking was never a problem, unless we got in at 1AM on a Saturday night, and even then there were atleast 10 spots still available in the lot right besides ours.

Our electric bill was never outrageous. I think the highest it ever was was 190 in February or something like that. That was ONE bill; all the others were less then 100. We had a beagle who definitely liked to bark, and it was never an issue with anyone. Also, we were given permission to take the dog down into the woods behind our unit, which he LOVED to do!

The ONLY issue we ever had were the kids that enjoyed playing in the parking lot. That lasted for about a week and then was taken care of, which we really appreciated (we never even had to complain about it!).

I was always impressed with the fact that we NEVER went to the office and yet when we went in to let them know we needed out of our lease (we bought our first home!) Kelly knew exactly who we were, unit number, dog we had, etc. We did have to pay the termination fee to get out of our lease, but it was definitely worth it seeing as we got the house of our dreams!

We loved our stay there, and would have continued to live there, if it wasn't for our purchase. I definitely enjoyed the pool, especially in the summer at noon on a Wednesday when everyone was working and I had it to myself!

So, like I said, my husband and I had no issues with the place and would recommend it to others!
