Getting worse and worse!!

When we first moved in, we thought it was great....but then we started having a lot of issues. Maintnence is good about coming out when there are problems...the main problem is, they NEVER fix anything. We have had the SAME problems for 4 years and STILL are not fixed. Our neighbors are loud, have about 15 people living there, and the staff doesn't care as long as they get money. The walls are paper thin. The advertise for college students to come live here, which leads to these kids having frat parties at all hours of the night. The staff does nothing about it.
I plan on moving soon, as do most of the people I have spoken to. It has gone downhill fast. Don't move here unless you want to pay $900.00 for a closet size apartment.

Wow, hey, me too. I can't believe anyone can say anything bad about the 'Burg! This is a GREAT place to live - everything from danish breakfasts that they give us on our way out to work to the amazing luai type party they have in September. Me and my boyfriend are very happy here, and we live in a 2 bedroom apartment, which is not $900, but in the mid $800 range. The apartments are not closet size... ours is nice & comfortable with its own private entrance, private balcony, big bedrooms & TONS (I mean tons) of closet space). Plus, the apartment managers pay the HEAT - gas heat! My electric bill in the winter is about $50 per month! Also, to answer the question about maintenance, they are AMAZING. As the person said above, they come out at lightning speed for not just light bulbs and minor things... but big stuff too. I had my A/C go out in the middle of the summer and they didn't just fix it - they gave me a BRAND NEW UNIT - and within just a few days! I've lived in many complexes and I've never had the kind of service that I get in Williamsburg. I'm not sure what the original poster of this message was referring to about wild parties and what not, but we've had no problems with neighbors. I wonder if they've asked the office about the problems they're having. They can't take care of what they don't know about. I encourage anyone reading this post to stop into the office of and judge for yourself. I know that, as a 8 year resident of the complex, that this is a wonderful place to live. And the location is top notch - close to my job and all kinds of restaurants and malls. Some people posting on here may have personal grudges for whatever reason (maybe they did something wrong and got told about it by management?), but I'd be willing to bet just about any tenant will tell you how happy they are to be living here - like we are and will continue to be.

I had to double check the name of the complex when I first read this post, because it surprised me, as I haven't had this experience in my time here at all. I have lived here since 2005, and love it. As far as I know, none of the apartments cost near $900, maybe a townhouse?....but those are big. Maintenance is the main reason why I wouldn't move elsewhere. They take care of everything so quickly, and so well...even minor things that most places would overlook in a heartbeat. Come on...how many complexes would be at your place in an hour for a light bulb?? Of course, you're entitled to your own opinion, but I love it here, and have to disagree with you.

we lived here in a townhouse (which is now $910, for the record) for 3 years and only recently have moved. i just had to put my two cents in because i strongly disagree with what is being said about the maintenance of this complex. in fact, the best things they have to offer are the management and maintenance. i've never waited longer than 30 minutes after i called about something, even on a weekend. they were always pleasant and worked quickly. what exactly did you need fixed that wasn't? i just find this claim very hard to believe. maybe you're hallucinating that you're calling them, because if you actually called, they would have come. sorry, but that's the only explanation i can think of. honestly, who would keep living in a place for 4 years with all these problems anyway? this doesn't make any sense.

For the record, a 2 bedroom is close to $900 per month. I've lived here for a few years. Most of the time, it has been great, but they do rent to Widener law students. If you have the misfortune of one renting underneath or above you, it can be a horrible experience.

Yeah, I had to disagree with this post as well. My sister was the first one to move there, then me, then my fiance! In all that time, the maintenance crew has done such a fabulous job! My sister DID just have a bad experience with a maintenance man but she told the office and they fired him so the office REALLY listens if there are complaints. I've never had a problem with the Widener students. They don't throw frat parties cuz they're not used as frat houses. I lived in a 1 bedroom, my sister lived in a 2 bedroom, and then my husband and I moved into a townhouse. None of those were closets... you always get what you're paying for! Especialy the pool and the exercise room and the sauna and the heat and the water included.
