I have lived here for over 2 decades, so I have seen alot! Holly House has gone through ALOT of positive changes the past couple of years.

Residents range from college students, elderly, working adults and a few families. Kids are allowed, which is a change from years ago--and makes things a bit noisy sometimes. Not too bad. There WERE problems with maintenance & office staff a couple of years ago, as management changed 10 or more times in 2 years--some 'approved' tenants were drug addicts and unstable individuals.


There have always been yearly inspections of apartments, which is a great idea, to keep an eye on things. For Havertown, the cost is not too bad, especially since rugs, an air conditioner and window blinds are all included. In many other apartment complexes you have to supply your own. Heat is included in the rent.
Unfortunately rent is increased every year, often by $40.00 per month, which is alot.
Location is very convenient--CVS across the street, delis, stores, bank, etc.
New heating system put in last Winter. New carpet throughout hallways, and newly painted interior.
Only real complaint is that some residents, who are college students, etc like to 'party'.
And the snow removal has been just awful every year. Often the snow plow doesn't come until 10 hours after the snow, IF it comes at all. cars get plowed in to the spaces and you have to dig out lots of snow. Steps/walkways are not shovelled, dangerous. Hopefully this year will improve, as management's office has relocated to this building and will have to go through the snow themselves.
All in all, I like it here. many residents have been here for years, especially in my little corner of the building. People are friendly and helpful.
Parking is sometimes a problem, especially since there is a business in front and many spaces are taken up by them.
