My husband and I have lived in an end unit townhouse with a step down living area. While there is a lot of space in the living room a decent amount of space in the dining room, the kitchen is way too small! The washer/dryer in the kitchen isn't the best either. And the amount of storage in the kitchen is awful. In fact, there is only one drawer in the kitchen and the only way you can open it is if you open the oven door!

The bedrooms upstairs are decent in size and the bathrooms are great as well (minus some small repairs that had to happen before we moved in).

The townhouse is not insulated very well so in the summer, you'll run your AC a lot with fans upstairs, because it doesn't get very cool upstairs. And in the winter, you'll need a space heater or two because it gets extremely cold. I suggest buying the shrink wrap plastic wrap for windows as they are very drafty.

I agree with others. The bugs are awful! We spend very little time in our fenced in courtyard and our dog really doesn't like it either. Parking is decent. Slightly annoying when you can't park in front of your door, but a few spaces down isn't bad.

One thing that they don't tell you when you choose an end unit townhouse with a sunken living room....the front walls MOVE...and WATER and MOLD accumulate along the front wall of the living room. We have called several times about this, and they told us the first time that they fixed the problem. They even came with a huge fan and some "anti-mold" spray. They did a temp fix, not a permanent one because that would have required that they remove the entire front wall and rebuild, which they were not willing to do. We plan to call again as now the mold and water damage is visible with a brown-ish colored mold stain. Definitely not a good environment for anyone with allergies, or anyone with small children or dogs. When you all get sick at the same time for no reason....there's got to be a reason!

If you're looking at the apartments because of the Med Center, then they are a great location if you can live with all of the imperfections. Great location for quick access to 422 and 322 and only 12 miles to the center of Harrisburg.

Good luck.
