My first mistake was I did not listen to the prior reviewers. The Corporate Office is horrible and not accommodating. The will bill you for a dollar or two and send intimidating letters from the start. Considering the credit checks and other hoops residents need to go through to move in, the office should be a lot more respectful to their residents.
The apartments are not well maintained nor worth the rent. For example, there are no shelves in the pantry or laundry room and there are cabinets missing in the kitchen. All of the electrical outlets are installed upside down and there are other signed of poor craftsmanship in the apartment. The towel bar in the bathroom is six feet away from the shower. The carpets are worn and the cleaning staff did not clean under the oven between residents. Also, the appliances are smaller than usual and are not energy efficient. The chimneys are not cleaned out on a regular basis, but you can call to have them cleaned. Some residents have been waiting on repairs for more than a month. Also, you can hear your neighbor's TV and when they run the water.
There is a nice locker room for the gym, but the equipment is not the best. Also, if you want to bring a guest to the pool, you better bring your wallet.
Second floor apartments do have attic storage which is nice. And the residents here are very friendly and nice to be around. It's a nice neighborhood in that sense, but not worth the rent or all the extra expenses. Also, the security deposit is one month's rent. In my last apartment - which was a lot nicer and better kept - it was only 250. Unfortunately, that apartment complex is out of state.
