Management is terrible

I've lived at Hershey Heights for three years. We love our apartment, but the management leaves much to be desired. First of all, I needed to have my parents co-sign the lease, because my husband and I were not married at the time we moved in and although making good money, my debt to credit ratio was too high for their liking. How humiliating to have a parent co-sign for their 26 year-old, professional daughter.
They also feel the need to raise their already high rent every year, charge you a rental fee for your washer and dryer (unless you happen to have your own) and a high pet deposit and monthly fee.
The last straw was when we received a nasty letter from NPI's corporate office telling us they notice damage to the siding on the porch that was obviously caused by our gas grill and that we owe $45 due immediately. The siding was damaged since we moved in the place (something they never noticed although they claim to inspect the siding four times a year). They will not discuss the situation with us and have been very nasty. The apartment manager that is on-site has been helpful. Unfortunately NPI corporate office is uncaring, rude and only after money.
