I have lived here for about 18 months. At first, I HATED the apartment. I actually cried when I first moved in and tried to figure out some legal way to get out of my lease. My last apartment was a dream and I loved the management. There were actual (unlike HH?s) waiting lists for the apartments and the staff knew almost everyone?s name and apartment. But I can?t say the same for here. The landlords have a Philadelphia mentality and management style. They really don?t care about people or the community. They just don?t get that central PA is a different world.

The apartment wasn?t fully cleaned when I moved in and the carpet needed to be replaced. Thankfully, the movers were late and this gave us time to totally scrub and clean the apartment.

The designed is not the best either. Also, I can hear everything my downstairs neighbor does and when they have their TV on. They can also hear EVERYTHING I do, which has made me change my living habits. There is a loss of privacy here from the lack of sound proofing. My downstairs neighbors are aware of some more intimidate and personal actions and routines.

I did notice that when I moved in, they made me pay for the whole month (I moved in after the 15) and a hefty security deposit. Oh by the way, my credit is perfect. I have never had a missed payment and my credit cards are paid off each month. However, now they can?t get anyone to move here so they are offering great deals. I have noticed that some of the apartments in my building and surrounding buildings have been vacant for almost a year, if not a year. I just hope that I get my security deposit back. I do have a pet. She hasn't done ANY damage to the place and I have to pay a monthly fee, plus a pet security deposit, but I have a feeling they will say differently. Many of my neighbors haven?t. And oh yeah, you have to install your own blinds or buy them off of the previous tenant.

The construction is very poor. The temperature in my bedroom can drop significantly if I have my closet doors open in the winter. It?s always cold. But my back room is always cold. I often wonder if they actually put in insulation. Even though they advertise the apartments as luxury, they are not. The cabinetry, flooring, and doors are all very basic. The kitchen . . . if you cook, you will hate it! I used to cook a lot, but the kitchen is just horrible for cooking.

I think the good reviews really are the management and staff writing something. I haven?t ever heard of my neighbors saying anything nice about the place.

Some nice things are the size of the master bedroom and 2nd bedroom. I do like the fire place. It is also nice to my own have a washer and dryer in the apartment. It?s also close to Hershey, which is a great town. The town is why I haven?t moved. Maintenance has improved, but it may take a few days for them to come out.
