Office Management Incompetent

I moved in over a year ago. I lived here two weeks when my fridge died with over $25 in cheese and meat wasted. I was told that because I hadn't purchased renter's insurance there was nothing they could do. The new fridage smelled like stinky old man's cologne which was no easy task to get rid of that stench. Last summer, the water was shut off without any warning to any residents in my building 6 times in 2 weeks. I started to document as the first time I called apt office after being sweaty from doing a work-out tape and trying to wash grapes for my child's school lunch, there was no water. I called the office and spoke to ------, who laughed at me and then lied and said that they had no idea which buildings that the water company was going to be at. Well, when the water company was called, they let us know that the office management knew exactly where the water was being shut off. Well, after 6 times over the next ten days I tried to find out who was in charge of the onsite office personel and was told they did not have that info but could "pass along to appropriate person". (How is that possible when ya just told me that you didn't have that info') I had a problem with my sink leaking and it took several days for a worker to fix it. It took a second call to the office to get him there. The floors above creak everytime a person walks. I have a couple that live above me that everytime they get up at all hours, we can all hear them as they sound like cows, yet they are not that big, just the floors are too thin. Can hear the baby crying downstairs and the person above me coughing. Thank goodness tha a/c unit makes nice white noise. The lighting outside seems to be burnt out most of the time and one outsdide light has never been fixed in the year that I have lived here. The parking lots are horrible with no lines and plenty of potholes. Many residents have to continually take up two spaces cause they can't figure out how to adequately park with out painted lines. Which brings me to our lot being paved today. The workers can't do their job cause the office staff didn't send out warnings until the Friday of Memorial day weekend for Tuesday, day after. The notice said that it was just a reminder about the lot being paved. Um....isn't there supposed to have been a "first notice" before there is a "reminder"' The pool was scheduled to open Memorial day. No residents received any info explaining about pool passes but after we stopped and talked to the lifeguard yesterday, she said the the aforementioned office staff told her that they sent out notices to everyone. Well, not one person/resident I talked to received one. Not even the lifeguard who is also a resident here. Many people showed up at the pool with last season's pool pass, confused and the poor lifeguard had to keep explaining but I think we all got the point that someone is not doing their job in the leasing office. In fact, what do they do down there all day'

------ is the picture of an apartment manager: a deceiving, "it's policy, doesn't matter if it's right" mindset, imitation of a person. Of course, the same goes for -------- (another "manager" at VOE). The other one, whoever she is, don't have enough bad interaction or history with her yet to leave any comment.

I have had nothing but wonderous responses and information from -----...as for --------, well, I have to say this....she is a stand-offish little princess who is too busy looking and/or waiting for the 'guys' to come into the office so she can do 'her' thing.
Working with average to low income people is apparantly not her cup-o-tea, which is fine except that is who WE ARE...find another job if you don't like it or can not deal with it.
MAJOR issues regarding apartments, no padding under carpet in a basement apartment, carpet is in DESPERATE need of replacement, MAJOR issues with ignorant neighbors were laughed about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON, --------..wipe off some of that makeup and start taking care of business and the people who are contributing to your paychecks....the TENANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How can they get away with not doing their jobs??? Well, because that is the way of the world these days. It's not about your abilities...it's about your looks and whose boss' butt you are going to kiss next.
Jeniffer needs to go...period.

When I lived here 2 weeks, someone hit my car. In fact, three tenants in my building have been hit by other cars in the lot because of no parking lines, inadequate parking. Does anypone know who pays the office staff their paychecks? Perhaps they would be interested in knowing that they are paying the bimbos to just sit there. I would want to know if I was paying employees and to have them blatantly laugh at tenants calling in. I pay over $500 each month to live in a hell hole.
