That's it, that's all you need to know. If having a quiet, stench free place means anything to you, do not, under any circumstance, rent from here.
Ventilation is poor, the halls reek of stale cigarette smoke because the majority of tenants are smokers and the fumes from their cancer sticks easily seeps into the halls and between units. The single wall mounted a/c is very inefficient (most units are stuffy, humid heat boxes in summer - and depending on location, only a few of them are situated well enough to allow a breeze to move through an open window), the cheapest of units (structurally speaking) are also easily susceptible to wafting sewage/bathroom odors from neighboring tenants' bathrooms, bathroom fan noise is on par with a lawnmower, and parking for all buildings comprises of unlined, broken asphalt lots.
But on the plus side, if you're lucky, you might be able to score a "newer" unit where the interior isn't so dated, worn or cheap.
