Yes there are mice, but that seems to be a common problem in any big city....my major issue is the staff. They aren't completely negligent, but it takes some aggressiveness to get someone to fix a problem you may have. There was once or twice that maintenance came the day after I called about an issue, but there are instances (such as my heat not working for two days so my apt is freezing) and maintenance will not come until the next day. A normal, healthy person would find this as an inconvenience and wear 3 sweaters and ----- about it but get over it. I have Raynauds Syndrome so anything below 68 degrees and I lose blood flow to my fingers and after explaining to them that my fingers are currently bloodless, the maintenance still refuses to come until tomorrow. Its not the end of the world, I could go stay somewhere else for the night or buy a space heater...but the way the staff actually communicates with me is in a very "i dont care" manner which just makes me more livid. I also got stuck in an elevator and was there for an hour (and I'm claustrophobic, thank god I'm not diabetic or something) because the maintenance couldn't "FIND" me....needless to say, he went to the wrong building and OMG couldn't figure out that if I wasn't in any of the elevators in one building, then I must be in the OTHER building...DUH!!!!! But he didn't figure that out, he had to call me and ask where I was.

Other than that, my specific apt is pretty nice and it was very clean when I moved in which I was very pleased about. There is one man who works at the front desk, Joseph, who knows everyone by first name and very respectful. Big kudos to him. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai

What are your thoughts on the dark parking lot, the gunpoint muggings and apartment break-ins that seem to be a regular occurrence at the Colonade? The staff has a 'don't care' attitude about those things as well. I had a leak in my bathroom ceiling and called maintenance to report it. The maintenance man did not come until 5 hours later...after my ceiling collapsed. The repair job was done half-assed, which is standard practice, and my ceiling looks horrible. I have stains on my living room and bedroom ceilings from leaks as well. Instead of having an open house to recruit new suckers...I mean tenants, the staff should be focused on fixing the numerous problems and take an interest in the tenants that are still here.
