My husband and I decided to live here since we would be attending professional schools in the area. We liked the overall look of the public areas, the parking deck, the indoor/outdoor pools & new fitness center, the fact that one building has free steam heat/duct cooling as well as its proximity to medical offices, restaurants, grocery store & video store.

We have decided to move to another complex in Jenkintown, which we think is a nice community. After 3 years and 2 rent increases, our one-bedroom apartment went from the high $700s to the mid $800s. Other reasons: streets & parking deck incredibly noisy; adjoining neighbors disregard quiet-hours; front desk staff spotty; leasing office unresponsive; and maintenance work generally inept.

Every year there are rumors that the current management company is about to go under. Management has changed hands at least twice that we know of. There is speculation that they turn off the heat, the A/C and the facility's lighting on the weekends or holidays when the students are away in order to cut down on costs. Often times the entrances, parking deck and thoroughways are dark at night.

The facilities are in good condition if you have the time to use them. We liked the pools but have only used them 3 times. The fitness center is nice but people come & go in droves. The laundry room is nice but when too many are in use, the dryers drain heat from each other. It is all small stuff, but it matters when the rent for a 650 sq ft apartment is nearly a monthly mortgage payment.

If you are not concerned about a budget or noise, I would recommend living here. Everything a family needs is right across the street, including banking and the post office. The regional rail train station is a 10 minute walk.
