I live at Estate building and I am kind of shocked because it is nothing like they say on this forum. Staffs are nice, u got a gym, pools (indoor and outdoor), tennis court, etc.
I heard bad things about Manor though, so try to get estate

I live in the Estate and I've never had a real problem with anything. The staff is helpful, my heat is on all the time in the winter and the A/C is on all the time in the summer. I've never had a problem with rowdy college parties, and I take the stairs all the time and have noticed nothing of human origin within. The only complaints I would have is that my floor smells funny sometimes, the stairways are not always kept clean (although they seem to be doing a better job lately), and I had a mouse in my apartment. However, the mouse situation was taken care of promptly and I haven't seen one since. I have also heard bad things about the Manor (rats, cockroaches), so I would agree that the Estate is the one to go for.

To juliachaos: You must be one of the fortunate few that has heat and A/C when you need it and fortunate enough to not live near any college students. The heat has been on for most of the winter but then again it hasn't been that cold to really need it. As for the hot water, I'm sure that you have seen the signs posted by the elevators in recent days. Not all of the college students are obnoxious but the ones that I have come in contact with were -- thankfully they moved! They showed absolutely no respect for their neighbors.The only time there was peace was when it was semester break. My former neighbors left their apartment so unbelievable filthy & left floor to ceiling garbage in the trash room I seriously doubt they'll get their security deposit back.

Like I wrote to ALL the ANONYMOUS writers, you probally got paid to say that or you work there or you are blind. I only lived there for 9months in the Estate b/c of school. If I had family up there I would have stayed with them. I was so HAPPY when I moved out and said to myself, "I rather live in a Hotel before I come back here". I feel sorry for those who endured it for a year and more.
