What a sad state of affairs!!!

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2006
I initially moved there for the close walk to train and shops, but the apartment became a disaster fast. When my roommate and I saw the apt. it looked clean and decent, but as time went on disrepair started to rear its ugly head. The carpet that must have been cleaned right before we saw it quickly started to discolor and areas once cream became dark gray. Thinking it might be my roommate I had a carpet cleaner come and he told me that there was something like an oil spill that was trapping dirt and that it was probably there before we even moved in. After letting the Colonade office know they refused to replace the carpet, but sent someone out a couple weeks after the cleaning I had just had to clean those spots only, because it only took another couple of weeks before they came back. Then the mice; it wasn't until after a year of living there that we encountered the mice problem. Their solution was to put sticky traps down. Oh the humanity! Once one was stuck in the trap we had to listen to the baby mouse squeak and squeak until it died and then we had to throw them out ourselves. It was the saddest thing. And lastly, eventhough I could go on and on I'll end here, the type of people living in the building was scary. Especially a Korean couple whose bedroom must have been on the other side of mine, and who regularly woke me with their domestic violence. It was horrible! Also a lady who would take her children to the pool and then fall asleep as she sunbathed leaving the 6 year old in charge of a 1 1/2 year old to the end where the baby fell in and had to be rescued by my boyfriend and the lifeguard. Do not move there, I am posting this after more than a year of not living there because it still gives me nightmares.
