We are very clean people; there are mice. There is nothing you can do. The exterminators come and lay unbaited traps and the mice dance around them apparently. We seldom have hot water in the winter for a shower. If you like to shower in the morning- forget it. If you resign yourself to an evening shower, you might get some warm water. My friend in the other building has hot water in the winter, but no heat. I guess you pick your poison. They may have provided her with a small space heater, I forget. It has been 90 degrees and they turned off the air conditioning. I hope the old people in the building survived this Indian Summer heat wave with no air. Once they turn the heat on, you can't control that either. Basically, you have no thermostat or control over the temperature in your apartment. The parking garage started crumbling. Literally, there were chunks of concrete on the hood of my friends car. What did they do' Closed off half the area available to park 'for repairs'. By the way, there hasn't been one bit of repair going on ever. I'm sure there won't be either. We had a flood through the ceiling of my bedroom from the apartment above us that was pretty much ignored. They put some paint over the water damage when my room dried out a bit. My favorite part of the whole place is- when you call to complain (even nicely complain) about all of the above, the women in the management office act as if you are the only apartment with the problem. Please! We have friends on every floor of the building who don't have hot water!! Like we all don't talk about it!' That blows my mind. If you try it, good luck to you. If not, good for you. Cheers.

Thank you SO much for posting this! I thought I was the only one that felt this way about this place. I have been here longer than planned but only because it is less expensive than other complexes in the area. I'm clean too but I have mice. I have been catching them with glue traps. I have also plugged all holes with steel wool and sprinkled some moth balls in the problem areas. I haven't seen mice in a while but I won't let my guard down. It's a losing battle with the heat, hot water and air. There have been so many repairs done to an ancient system that you're just grateful to get what you have. Repairs on the parking deck will start with the first snow. That will be a great excuse for another half-assed repair job! I have damage to my living room ceiling from the A/C leaking upstairs. I knew the repair job would be shoddy so I chose to look at the brown spot and not a crappy cover up. It really is a shame because this was a nice complex at one time. The current owner and leasing staff do the minimum to keep the building from being condenmed.
