I would not recommend living here to anyone (unless your really desperate). This is run by gestapo like management who obviously pick and chose who has to follow the rules and who doesn?t. If you?re neighbor doesn?t like you all they have to do is call the manager and they?ll threaten to evict you at a moments notice. Yet will turn their heads if your related to the tenant council president. When they did remodeling I had to put up with rude contractors who have keys and walk in without bothering to knock. Leaving a mess behind and expecting you to leave your home unattended starting at 8 a.m. not caring if you are sick-elderly or have small children. It took 4 months to put in a heating system that still doesn?t work. During the work they used my electric more than doubling my bill and of course housing management just shrugged their shoulders. My apt was overrun with ants in my bathroom and bedroom yet when I called maintenance I was told I would have to pay for the exterminator. The executive director who oversees this -----like housing is an uncaring snob who will tell you anything you want to hear just to shut you up and you can be sure it won?t stop him or his staff or board members from jetsetting to Florida-Puerto Rico or Las Vegas for their next socalled "seminars." The worst decision I made was to move into these apartments and I couldn?t wait to get out...

I agree with you 100%, I lived in the Oakhurst Community when thet were fixing up the apartments. At that time I was working graveyard shifts 10:00-6:00, I would get home around 7:00 AM, and I would get to sleep around 7:30. Meanwhile a half an hour later the contracters would come into my apartment to conduct there work, and they would not care if I had worked the whole night before, and that I needed rest for my next shift. Of course the managers of Oakhurst, or any community do not care how tenants feel, and I strongly believe that none of the managements of the communitys want to do there jobs at all. I think all of us tenants who try to follow there communists rules, and who gets screwed over should infrom HUD, and let them clean out the trash residents, and the trash Johnstown Housing Authority workers who do not do there job, and get someone in there who does take the time to do there job!
