I am not joking. I know for a freaking fact that the managers and such are full of crap. I have been living in JHA for around abouts 4 years now I believe. In that time I lived in one of those several floor buildings. It was infested with cockroaches, and was quite small frankly. No place to put a washer and dryer. We have complained many many times of the neighbors constantly fighting, blaring their tv, and slamming their door, (which they finally kicked them out...almost 6 months later) and even of people stomping up and down the stairs at all hours of the night with no regard to who was sleeping. I was also harrassed by another tenet at that time and nothing was ever done about that.

Because of how unsuitable that enviroment was we were forced to move. The next place we moved into was infested by ants. We also had a problem with the neighbor blaring their music, slamming doors, and running up and down the stairs at all hours of the night, fighting, and yes, harrassing us as well and saying we were the ones doing all of this or that it wasnt nearly as bad. We ended up having to call the police on them a few times. Then they thought it would be funny to call them on us, even tho we were not doing anything wrong. Then came a meeting. We all had to go and sit down and talk. I thought well finally, a chance to put an end to this once and for all. And whadd u know' It sure did. The resolution: Call the police or complain to us again about each other, and youll be kicked out. Uhm...but scuse me' the lease says that we were to have peaceful enjoyment of the property...and yet we wernt getting it. Oh, and so u know...it seemed like the managers took their side more then ours, dispite the fact that we did nothing wrong and could prove our alligations against them, tho they could not prove them against us. Whats sad is we were friends with these people and they decided to hate us instead...wtf' Heck we were friends with the biggest share of the people around there, and still are.

Lets see, oh and cuse of that we had to move again. And guess what' Another ant infested apartment. We have totally ignored our neighbors, just to get the cops called on us...2 times. And we werent even doing anything. And now on top of that, we have a letter telling us that one more complaint or police report =s us being evicted.

Oh and that wasnt the first time either. Someone screwed up with the billing, and instead of even bothering to call or come to our door and ask for proof that we paid it, they slam an eviction notice on the door for not paying...AND IT WASNT OUR FAULT THAT IT WAS MESSED UP! We gave the bank the payment. If they woulda done a little checking into it first they woulda found out that we have paid for it.

And another thing. They are so picky about how the apartment is left. If the paints messed up even a little bit, they will bill you. And guess what' The bill was like 40-50 some dollars, which is more then enough to paint the apartment like 2 times over, and labor...yet its supposed to be for a few little spots, that i coulda touched up with a little 3-4 dollar can. And from what i heard from others, even if you do it exactly the same color and everything...they still repaint it and charge you for it anyways.

And if you submit maintenence requests, they rarely come right away, and when they do, half the time they half ass it and dont even do it right. You get yearly inspections in which the inspector lists down everything that needs done. This list is never more then 25% done, as i have gave him the list one year...and happened to keep it cuse i realized they werent doing it, and i just gave him the same list the next year and told him that they never done most of it.

And heres a real bell ringer. There is a tenet that is very well known, and very well disliked by alot of people. He does nothing but causes problems and tries to start things, he is a cronic mover (hes moved to different apartments too many times to count on one finger), hes disrupted the peace several times, yells all the time, slams doors, hes always on the cell phone about one thing or another swearing every sentence he speaks. And no, im not joking. Ive counted him saying the F word like near 20 times in less then 2 or 3 mins before. And thats just counting the f words. Yet, hes still living here.

Well now that we have been living here for almost a year or 2 just about, we have had the cops called on us twice for a bunch of B.S. reasons (too much noise, and something else) that never happend. And guess what' A letter, threatening to kick us out. So lets see, so far thats been 3 times we have been threatened with eviction, BECAUSE THEY DONT WANT TO LOOK INTO THINGS AND FIND OUT THE FACTS.

JHA is full of discriminating, lazy, uncaring, selfish people. We have been nothing but respectful and polite towards them and never called in an unneccessary maintinence request, and we have never caused any real big problems or anything, yet we get treated like crap.

If your thinking of moving in here, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT. If you cant afford to live anywhere else, then go to the salvation army or something and have them help you. Do whatever it takes to stay out of here. Cuse seriously...you will regret it once you move in. They WILL treat u like crap. Your nothing to them. All they care about is getting their money.

Can u say Slum Lords...uhm...nah better...Slum Kings. They only fall short of doing what they did in the past of just cramming people together in really small places and sharing 1 bathroom...but...they dont fall that short. And trust me...if they could leagally do it...they would.

*watches for them to stick an eviction notice on the door*.

First of all, you need to learn to spell. Not spelling correctly makes you appear ignorant and/or stupid. How can you be taken seriously when you can't spell the word "allegations" correctly? Secondly, you sound like a trouble-maker with nothing better to do but complain. Thirdly, why would you want to live in Johnstown, a run-down, depressed place with no job prospects and no decent places to live? Get a life and move to a metropolitan area with civilization and culture and get the heck out of Appalachia.

OMG!!! 1 spelling mistake. GUARDS!!! Take him away!!! Secondly, LOL. You dont like the truth, dont read it. Thirdly, I GOT OPTIONS? WOW. You know...not everyone has the choice to just move anywhere they want. Not everyone is well off enough to just up and move where ever they want. You call my review ignorant, and stupid. Yet, your response is just that as well. This site is a REVIEW site, where people offer their opinions on the site. You dont want to take my word for it, thats YOUR opinion. Go around Oakhurst, Coopersdale, Solomon, ect and ask them how they feel about living in these apartments. I bet about 9 out of 10, your gonna get the same response. People dont live here because they want to. They live here because they dont have any choice. And about the Thirdly comment btw, Look around you. The economy is in a slump atm. Moving somewhere else isnt going to guarantee you much better of a chance of getting any work, or better work. And plus thats your opinion as well. Maybe I see Johnstown and a thriving and good town, with just as good of a chance of a job as anywhere else? Perhaps I have a job where I cant transfer somewhere else atm and maybe I have a chance of getting promoted and moved somewhere else? You dont know the situation for why I am living in Johnstown to begin with. Maybe my mother lives near by and refuses to leave here? Maybe I have a wife that is in the hospital here too ill to leave here. You respond with this crap, and you dont even know my situation to begin with. And I did complain, yes. Do I have a right to? Last I checked this is still America. Am I a troublemaker? Id say no but would you believe it? Of course not. I bet you even work for JHA with that post.
