Yes, they have changed the carpet and painting, but it takes more than a layer of paint and some new carpet to change a place. I am currently a resident and I also have lived here before when it was Belmont Heights, under the old management. If you love to be slid a letter under the door for petty things like parking in the front of the building when your 8 months pregnant so you dont slip on the 8 inches of ice and snow in the winter that they dont plow in the back parking lot, and listening to your music at any level..., smoking outside the building..and other minor "problems" than move here. Also, the bathroom has a big mold problem that we have to clean with bleach every week. We pay over $400 PLUS utilities to live here and we get treated like crap! But the welfare/section 8 people who live here for free get treated like gold. To me, thats just attracting wrong people. Honest hardworking people here definatly dont have the upper hand. We have to deal with people in the apartment under us listening to their music so loud our feet vibrate on the floor, and they yell at each other 24/7...this place sucks and i dont recommend it to anyone, unless your into everyday drama..

Not everyone is going to have a postive outlook on Luxor Gardens, but if you have such problems with things here, you can bring it up to management. It will be taken care of right away. You must speak up in order to have things fixed or changed. As for the HUD people, they are treated equally with the market tenants. There are only a handful of apartments out of 220 that are considered HUD. Just because someone is on a limited income, doesn't mean they are bad people. Open your mouth about your issues to management or move out.
