A great value for the price

I have lived here for two years this month, and have to say I am very happy with my choice. This may not be the most luxurious apartment complex in the area, but it is more than adequate for the price you pay.

The staff in the rental office are very friendly...I have never had a bad encounter with anyone in the office--but then again, I also take the time to say hello to them whenever I see them, not just when I need something. And then always provide a warm greeting (even if I have to run in 5 minutes before the office closes--they are always willing to stay and help their tenants with their needs. We often exchange waves and friendly smiles through the windows as I am heading into the building on my way up to my apartment.

The maintenance staff are just as great - quickly attending to any needs and/or requests that come up. I live on the top floor of my building and had a problem with the roof leaking during some of the heavy rain earlier this year (discovered when I got home from work one day). I called the office the next morning and maintenance had the problem fixed by the time I got home.

I have rarely had any issues with noisy neighbors, and find that most of the people in my building are pretty friendly.

The grounds are well landscaped and maintained. While there have been issues occasionally with trees dripping pitch on my car, I'm happy the trees are there - it's one of the things that makes the property so nice (along with my view of Valley Forge Park). Plus, I can always get my car washed.

In regard to safety issues, I agree with an earlier poster that the entrance to the property is a bit narrow. But the biggest issue is people who drive into the property and along the drives as though they are still driving on the highway. Perhaps adding a couple of more speed bumps close to the entrance will solve that problem. We also were having issues with the elevator in our building--but they are currently in the process of replacing it.

Overall, I am very pleased with my choice to live in this community, as it is a great value for the price. If you're looking for a modestly priced apartment community that is close to the highways, not too far from the regional rail lines, and close to the mall, I would highly recommend this property.

Don't listen to what this person is saying. This person is obviously working for the staff. Lafayette apartments suck, their staff sucks. Don't live here, not worth it.

Your standards must be very low if you consider anything about the Lafayette adequate and worth recommendation.

For the record, I don't work for the staff, but am a pleased resident for the past two years. As I said in my write-up, it may not be the nicest apartment complex in the area, but it is affordable and worth the money I am paying. Amazing that both of your responses are anonymous - so, do currently live in the complex or are you former residents who were forced out because they didn't pay their rent?
